Adam Li, Vice President of Emirates China, commented on the flight resumption plans: “We are excited to restart our much-awaited passenger services to Chinese mainland. The resumed service to Guangzhou will be operated on a weekly basis at this stage, meeting demand from travellers on the route, while also connecting them to our growing network of destinations, and the resumption of flights reiterates our continued commitment to the market and our customers. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the Chinese authorities for their tremendous support needed in order to make this happen. We’re looking forward to resuming local operations in an efficient and responsible manner with comprehensive safety measures in place, in the air and on the ground, to ensure the health and well-being of passengers, crew and our employees.”
The airline is expanding its passenger network to 62 destinations in August, including London Heathrow, Paris, Rome, Frankfurt, Barcelona, Cairo, Tunis, Amman and Male, which offers customers around the world more convenient connections to Dubai and a number of destinations in Europe, Africa, Middle East and Indian Ocean Islands. Today Emirates has announced it will resume flights to Tehran (from 17 July), Addis Ababa (from 1 August), and Oslo (from 4 August), expanding connectivity for customers with these latest cities rejoining its network.
Emirates customers can also enjoy safe and convenient connections via Emirates’ hub in Dubai while visitors to the emirate, including Chinese nationals, can enjoy a trip or stopover as the city has re-opened for international business and leisure visitors.
